How to Verify Startup Revenue on Bowora

Revenue verification on Bowora connects a supported billing provider with read-only access so Bowora can confirm aggregate subscription revenue. It is a screening signal for visitors—not a substitute for full financial diligence—and it powers the verified recurring revenue figure used on eligible profiles and the MRR Board.

Reviewed against the current Bowora product flow. Updated August 8, 2026.

What verification means

Verification means Bowora has connected to a supported billing provider and read the aggregate subscription totals needed to calculate recurring revenue. Your public profile can show a verified figure and the date it was checked.

Verification supports that displayed recurring revenue figure at the time it was checked. It does not prove profit, churn quality, customer satisfaction, cash in the bank, or future performance.

  • Bowora reads aggregate subscription totals for recurring revenue.
  • Bowora records the provider used and the verification date.
  • Bowora does not need write access, charge/refund permissions, or customer message inboxes.

Connect a payment provider (as Bowora does today)

In the startup Signal step, choose revenue verification and connect a supported provider using the credentials the live dashboard requests. The current submission flow lists Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, and Polar—provider availability can change, so always use the options shown in your dashboard.

Use read-only credentials scoped to revenue access. Never submit a key with broader permissions than the in-product instructions ask for.

  • Open your startup Signal settings and enable revenue verification.
  • Pick a supported provider from the live list (for example Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, or Polar).
  • Connect with read-only credentials and allow Bowora to read aggregate subscription totals.
  • Publish or refresh the listing so the verified figure and date can appear publicly.

When verification is optional vs required

  • Growing: optional. Verify to earn a verified revenue signal and join the MRR Board.
  • Open to offers: required to join the acquisition list and MRR Board.
  • Fundraising: required to join the fundraising list and MRR Board.

After you verify

Share the public profile when you want a screening-ready revenue signal. Keep detailed cohort exports, tax statements, and bank reconciliations for qualified diligence after interest is real—verification is not a data room.

Common questions

What does verifying startup revenue on Bowora actually prove?
It supports the displayed recurring revenue figure from a connected billing provider at the time it was checked. It does not prove profit, growth quality, or that diligence is complete.
Which payment providers can I connect?
The current submission flow lists Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, and Polar. Confirm the options in your dashboard before connecting credentials.
Do I need to share bank login access?
No. Bowora's model is a scoped billing connection for aggregate subscription totals, not bank credentials or full transaction history.
Is verification required to list my startup?
No for Growing listings—verification is optional there. It is required for Open to offers and Fundraising lists and for joining the MRR Board via those paths.
Does verification expose customer emails or card data?
No. Bowora is designed to read aggregate subscription totals needed for recurring revenue, not customer messages, full card details, or write permissions.
