About

PRISM (Stratalens) is a free tool for spotting propaganda and spin in the news. Paste a headline, a quote, some article text, or just a link, and it shows you which persuasion techniques are being used. It covers 15 of them, like loaded language, false dichotomies, whataboutism, dog whistles, and appeals to fear. It also gives a manipulation score from 0 to 10 and explains how it got there. The part I cared about most while building it: it doesn't make things up. When you give it a link, it pulls the real article, quotes the exact lines it's reacting to, and checks every quote against the source before showing it to you. If a page is paywalled or won't load, it says so instead of inventing something. It works on text and links only, not video or audio. No login, no install, and it runs right in your browser. Free for 5 analyses a month, or $7 a month for more.
